60 New Hospitals Cancel Construction Because of Health Care Bill
Article: GleeStreet

Some of the best hospitals in America are privately owned by doctors. At the present time, there are 260 doctor owned hospital in the United States in 38 states provide over 50,000 jobs with over $2,000,000,000 in payroll and pay over $500 million in federal taxes each year.

These hospitals provide some of the best care for specific ailments and diseases. These hospitals include many in Oklahoma which offer cancer care and back surgeries. But there will be no more expansion of these hospitals and at this time, 60 new private hospitals that were to begin construction, have now announced they will no longer proceed with their plans to build.

A health care bill that promised to provide coverage but not access, is doing just that. Now, everyone will have coverage but what good is it if the hospitals have to shut down? Worse yet, what good is coverage if those hospitals aren’t even built in the first place?

This is America. We used to have the right to make money. We used to have the right to be free. That’s what this country was built upon. We read about how terrible “big insurance” is but we don’t hear about “big hospitals.” They’re the ones who support Democrat politicians. Big Hospitals are the ones that have lobbied the Democrats to get privately owned hospitals outlawed. They haven’t succeeded there, but they have made expansion of private hospitals come to a stand still.

This is not a new debate. For years, the American Hospital Association which represents large corporate hospitals, has been actively fighting against doctor owned hospitals. To put this fight into simple terms, it would be like Wal-Mart fighting against little mom and pop specialty stores simply because the mom and pop stores eat into the profits of Wal-Mart. This is un-American.

Bravo on health care coverage to all. Unfortunately, that is meaningless without access to health care.

Doctors will care exclusively for the rich with cash while the rest of the peasants will have to deal with substandard care from imported doctors from Asia. Too bad for the Canadians who came here for urgent medical care. Now they are stuck in their own line’s hoping to get care before they die because they didn’t get the urgent care they needed. Too bad for the Mexicans over here too. They left their third world country to come here for a better standard of living only to live in a country that will degenerate down to the level of what they left for in the first place. Oh you poor, poor immigrants, legal or illegal. You didn’t expect that this wonderful country would turn into what you left your country for.
