Pelosi: Where Are the Jobs, Mr. President?

August 1, 2003

Washington, D.C. — House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ announcement that 470,000 people abandoned their job searches in July and that 3.2 million private sector jobs have been lost since President Bush took office:

“The fact is that President Bush’s misguided economic policies have failed to create jobs. Since President Bush took office, the country has lost 3.2 million jobs, the worst record since President Hoover. And today we learned that in July nearly half a million people gave up looking for a job.

Job losses are taking a real toll on the financial security of American families. While Democrats are fighting for opportunity, jobs, and economic security for working families, Republicans continue to focus on helping those who need help the least.

“According to today’s survey, while the national unemployment rate dropped slightly, it still stands at a near record high. In addition, the unemployment rate for African Americans was still over 11 percent in July, and the unemployment rate for Hispanics was 8.2 percent in July.

“It is time for President Bush and the Republicans to get to work for all Americans, not just the elite few.”

Hey Nazi Pelosi, How come you’ve changed your position?
OH, BECAUSE BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA! MMM MMM MMM!
HE’S NOT BUSH SO HE’S THE BESTESTESTEST!!!

You fucking nitwit sack of shit.

Honestly, at this point, playing the blame game on the job market down fall is a little late. Who cares who’s fault it is. It already happened and is still taking place. Of an entire class from my high school, that graduated college last May, only a few have been able to find full-time jobs that are NOT retail related and relate to the field they were educated for.
Instead of pointing fingers, just fix it.

Suddenly the blame game is bad, huh? Tell that to Barack Hussein Obama. Every time he points ONE finger at someone else; three of them are pointed right back at himself. If ANYONE is guilty of playing the blame game, it’s Barack Hussein Obama.

Apparently HE cares who’s fault it is. Knowing that it’s his and his failing policies, naturally – the blame game is the way to go. At least in Washington.

Fixing it is not up to me. It’s up to the elected officials. In this case, it’s the defected officials. Can’t find jobs? Check the unemployment rates. If you care to – compare them to the last administration’s unemployment rates…. at ANY point during the time of the previous administration.

Your pals who graduated college last may are fortunate to have those retail jobs. You want it rough? Try being a small business owner under this administration. I can tell you based on experience that it’s like screwing your own thumbs to blocks of wood.

Fix it? *wiggles nose, crosses arms, blinks eyes* SHAZAM. Hm. No jobs. I did the best I could, Sarah.

I see pointing fingers is only allowed when it is GWB and company on the other end. But should we dare do the same it is “no pointing fingers, just fix it”…FYI the government is incapable of “fixing” anything…I just want them to get out of the way of the free market system (capitalisms way) instead of trying to “fix” anything and let the markets do what needs to be done to correct the problems at hand. Government and those in government are ignorant of the problems that our economy faces and their solution(s) is/are more control and less liberties for us…that is not a “fixing” anything…it is merely giving more power to those who would enslave us. I for one do not want that and neither should you.
